separation anxiety?

Not so much a question about you DCs sleep but, more about yourselves.
When we brought DS home I started having very vivid dreams of letting him slip through my hands and fall, disappear or melt away. As you can imagine this really distressed me and I would wake up in a panic covered in sweat. That lasted for about 2 to 3 weeks.
He's now 2 months old and the dreams are back leaving me anguished at night and tired during the day, funnily enough I don't have these dreams when he sleeps with me.
Anyone else had/has this?

Many new mums get this anxiety, I did - and still do occasionally. One night I was lying down with my DD in my arm, and started asking where she was in a blind panic! It's completely natural, an instinct that you should have in order to keep your baby safe. I'd suggest co-sleeping safely until he's older, to save any worries.

I have this on and off and my little one is 10months old! I wake up in a panic thinking she is under the duvet suffocating, or (the newer version) crawling on the bed and about to fall off the edge.

We've never co-sleeped but she comes in with us in the morning to have a cuddle and play.

Its horrible what your mind does!
