If you used a motion sensor, what age was your dc when you removed it?

How long are they recommended for?

We kept ours on until DD was about eight months and started to move around the cot a lot - I was worried she was going to get hold of the wire somehow. We'd also had a couple of scares where she'd moved so much she set the bloody thing off. For the first couple of nights after taking it away we checked her approx every forty seconds

I am very a little embarrassed to admit that my dd, who turned 2 last week, is in her big girls bed for the first time tonight and this is the first time we haven't had the motion sensor on! And its stressing me out a lot!

Hi! It went well thanks...my dd slept all night and I resisted the urge to check she was breathing every 15 minutes!

Ah well done. No idea when you're supposed to turn the actual monitor off though. Suspect DD will still have hers when she's 10...
