So at 6m we are thinking of moving DD into her own room. Part of me knows this is for the best to give me and DH our space and kick start the old sex life again, get her used to it before i go back to work, but part of me feels guilty about not having her close.... What did you do? Anyone leave it much later than 6 months?

I did with my second as she was moving into a shared room and I didn't like the idea of her sharing a room with another child at 6 months. She moved in at 12 months no problems at all. Smile

Oh god, I feel guilty now - I've moved our 11 week old out of our room as I was sure we were waking her up, she was waking 2/3 times in the night and I was pretty sure she wasnt that hungry, she now only wakes once, she sleeps from 7pm until 2am, has a feed and goes straight back to sleep until 7am. Her room is pretty close to ours though but I do panic that she's not breathing if I cant hear her!

DD1 slept in our bed until 15 months
DD2 12 months
DD3 13 months
DS was in our bed until 12 months, still in our room and he's 2 next month

I think I'm in the minority I wouldn't move a baby into their own room before 12 months, I like to keep them close.

Everyone's different though my best friends DC came home from hospital and straight into their own room, she does CIO I don't, we even still talk to each other Grin
