My little boy is just 2, he has always been a good sleeper and gone to bed easily and gone off to sleep easily, a week ago at bed time he coughed and a little sick came up on his sheet, since then he has cried at bedtime and wakes up in the night screaming and shouting mummy, we don't want to keep going in to him, he does eventually go to sleep after about 30 min but we hate him hating his cot.
Also his twin sister did a poo in the bath when they were both in it and now he's scared of the bath so bedtimes are pretty stressful! Any hints with my OCD toddler!!!

My LO did exactly the same thing when he was around 2. He saw a spider in his bedroom once and that was it! He was terrified of going to bed even though he had previously been an excellent sleeper and went to bed fine. Unfortunately my partner spent about 2 weeks on his bedroom floor getting him to sleep and dealing with him during the night when he woke up crying and scared. Only advice i can give you really is perseverance Sad as my LO luckily grew out of it. We just comforted him when he was scared, explained that the spider wont hurt him and they are his friends etc... He eventually forgot all about it and went back to his normal sleeping pattern, took some time though. Lots of sympathy to you!
