Night nappy changes

17 w/o DD now sleeps from 8 - 8 with about 3 or 4 wakings for BM. She seems to be a fairly heavy wetter and usually her Huggies contain it all but not the last couple of nights.

When she wakes, I usually just pick her up, feed her lying down on our bed and when she's done, put her back in her cot and she goes back off to sleep.

When she was newborn we used to change her nappy after each waking and I'm cautious about going back to that as I don't really want to disturb her sleep.

What do other people do?

I only change DS's nappy in the night if it is dirty or has leaked (very rare, but he is 13 months now). We use Pampers Baby Dry and I'm happy with them, however I know not everyone likes them, it's trial and error. Also, can you try putting her in bigger nappies, so if you use, say, number 2 for daytime try using number 3 for nightime? It depeds on your DD's size though.

If you change the nappy first, the feed will soothe her back to sleep.

Can you change before her first feed? Or go up to a bigger sized nappy?

She's in size 3 at the moment. I'll give size 4 a whirl. Thanks ladies!
