DD has been a great sleeper (apart from illness and teething) but it all seems to be going wrong and I am all muddled up about what the cause is and what to do!

She has been waking up most nights for around 3 weeks, we put it down to teething as that is normally the problem and she has been slowly cutting 4 huge side ones. However she has had nurofen far too many nights in a row and she isn't even going back to sleep anymore, do I think it is becoming a habit. When one of us goes in she looks asleep but has her eyes open and is crying out intermittently.

We have tried: going in & resettling or giving Bon jella or nurofen if she seems really teethy. This normally works but now she seems to cry on and off fir ages afterwards requiring On bad nights have tried co-sleeping- was awful! She spent the night swapping between crying, laughing and poking me in the face. Sleeping in her bedroom floor with her in cot- she wouldn't go back to sleep.

Ahhhh posted too soon
Requiring lots more trips in and out and she gets momentarily really cross when we leave the room. What shall we do? Tonight I was thinking of just leaving her to it unless she gets really upset then going in only if I need to. I really want to nip this in the bud but also don't want to leave her in pain or drug her unnecessarily or make her frightened of her cot/bedroom

That message is all muddled, sorry.
When we go in, we have to go back in numerous times and it seems to upset her more IYSWIM
