long, bitter, petty wars of attrition between very old, very hackneyed, and very established viewpoints which are not going to change this side of Armageddon. I haven't always got quite the maturity to stay out of them, and frequently end up thinking "if I don't stop arguing with this tw*t I am going to end up with an ulcer".
