Hi I am a new mum to a 21week old baby boy. Am cracking up with sleep deprivation... At the moment my ds is often waking up 3-4 times a night and I am at a loss what to do? There was a brief spell when he was managing to only get up once. I have just started weaning him and am not sure if he should still be needing food during the night? He is down at around 7 and sometimes manages till 11 then after that he often only manages 2hr sleeps. I think he is teething and wondered if this had something to do with things? He isn't feeding great through the day. I sometimes use a dummy. Feed him in the dark and not really speak to him. Have got teething granules, teetha and bonjela. As he isn't eating much during the day I also wonder if that's why he needs more during the day. He is still smiling otherwise and seems happy. Feel guilty that I am wishing him to sleep right through when I know it's not his fault. Any advice would be really appreciated.
Thx x

Yes, he'll still want feeding at night - weaning doesn't help with sleep unfortunately Sad

It could be a (late) 4 month sleep regression, which is linked to development.

It's rubbish, hang on in there, he will sleep...eventually Smile

And have you tried paracetamol and/or ibuprofen at night for the teething? DD was a bloody nightmare with every tooth, painkillers were the only thing that got us through!
