Confused about nap times 9 mo

I'm starting to wonder whether my DS's nap times are working now. He is bf, we co-sleep and he doesn't go through the night. I'm relaxed (as I can be) about this, but recently he has started being very grumpy/clingy in the day. I can't put him down for a minute without him crying and he keeps burying his head into me, which makes me think he is sleepy.

His current routine is...

Up between 6am and 7am
2 hours later, a nap for anything between 45mins - 90 mins
Between 2-3pm, a nap again 45-90mins
Bed at 7pm

He wakes fairly frequently during the night but settles quickly so I think is pretty much getting 12 hours (albeit broken) sleep.

Today he fell asleep in my arms at 1:30pm after his normal morning nap. I'm wondering if I should now be aiming for one long lunchtime nap, but he really seems to need his morning snooze.

Am I doing it all wrong? Should add that he has just started crawling and standing/pulling up so could be more physically exhausted I guess.

My DD is just 9 months and is pretty similar to this, around 12 hours at night still sometimes waking for a feed, and usually two naps a day, morning and afternoon.

If she misses the morning nap (if we're out she's too busy watching everything to sleep!) she'll often have a longer nap in the afternoon - today for instance she has now been asleep for over 2 hours!! Otherwise sleeps are usually around an hour or just over, I don't pay much attention to what time she goes down, just whenever she seems tired.
