Grobag Frustration - what to do?

DS is almost 17months and has slept pretty well in his cot since 6months. In the last few weeks, he has begun waking up crying several times in the night. We've figured out that he seems to wake up, wriggle out of his grobag (he seems to want to cuddle it!!), and then cries either in frustration at the bag or because he is cold.

He is a wriggler and i can't imagine that he would stay under blankets/duvet for long, so we would still end up with him waking up chilly. We have given him a snuggly toy to cuddle, got a larger grobag etc but nothing seems to help. At first he seemed to just like to pop the grobag undone and go back to sleep, but he now seems very frustrated and i don't know what to do!

Please help anyone, we are exhausted!!

get a grobag without shoulder poppers - you can get some that zip from the top down to the bottom and then they have a popper over the bottom of the zip to prevent them undoing it.

second that suggestion - we had same problem with the shoulder popper ones & got a zipped one & no more troubles since!
