What's your 1yo's sleep like?

Hi all,

I'm not complaining at all....just wanting to check in for opinions....my 1yo took 5 hours worth of naps today (9-11 & 2-5) and I'm thinking that it's A LOT! He's spent a week skipping his morning nap and now is mid way through a week of making up time! As he sleeps so much I don't put him down for bed until 8-9pm (four hours after he wakes from his last nap), which is great for DH as they get time together after work but I wonder what everyone else is doing...

What are your routines looking like?

Thanks!

DD1 is 16 months.

She sleeps 6pm - 6am.

She has one nap a day. Either mid morning (10ish) or mid afternoon (2ish) for about 2hrs.

If I were you I would move his bedtime earlier, more sleep at night may mean he drops one of his naps and then is easier to put down earlier.

However, if it works for you, then I don't see a problem with his routine.

My little one is a couple of weeks odd one, and she sleeps for two hours on the morning (roughly three hours after waking) then up to an hour and a half in the afternoon? Then bed about 8, very much enjoy the nap times- she seems to love a sleep!

Thanks guys. I am thinking of moving his bedtime earlier, he used to go to bed at 7pm. I think I'll wait a week amd see if anything shifts and then try and cut his morning nap....also partially because I've paid for baby music lessons and I really want to go!

Also a couple of weeks off one. Currently wakes 5.20am most days, naps 9.30-10.00 or 10.15 - am waking her from this nap to attempt to combat the early mornings (not working so far!) Then about 13.00-15.00, and bed at 7pm. Except on nursery days when the afternoon nap is 30-50mins.

They're so different, aren't they?!
