Help with 8 month old needed

Firstly I am ill with a cold and have been for 2 weeks so might explain why I am going dolally.

DD is 8 months old but 7 corrected. She naps twice a day and quite well in her cot. She can self settle for naps and for the first sleep of the night. She can also sleep through the night and less than a month ago was sleeping until 5 straight through and even later sometimes. She has always until now slept well in her cot at night.

Now she seems to want to sleep on me at night and I can't do it. She is in a co-sleeper cot.

HV told me to leave her in the night to self settle. Problem is she screams. I am not sure what to do. I just need some sleep. She has had a bit of a cold.

Sorry for the ramble but just need some advice.

Hiya, is she still in your room? I've just moved my 7 month old into her room for the same reasons - its so exhausting! ...and she's finally sleeping again Smile
We must of been disturbing her!

She is in my room but DH doesn't want to move her. Last night I slept in the spare room and he slept with her Hmm and she woke at 11pm for a bit then slept in her cot til 6am. So was better.

Yey! That's better... Smile
You all need your sleep and if separate rooms is how it works - you've got to do it! Grin

Just a quick update - she is now sleeping much better now she is in her own room. We also put a heater on for a few nights when it was really cold and it seems like that she was too cold.

The other night she even slept 13 hours without waking and she did something similar last night although she was up for about 10 mins as she is teething.

Miracles do happen.

That's great, you must be feeling much better too.

Like a different person. She can still be unsettled in the evening but come night time she is out like a light. She has got a tooth coming through poor love.
