sitting up in bed??

Hello

dd 8mo, she has just learnt how to get up to sit up on her own (clever girl) only problem is i don't think she knows how to get back down!! as a result she wakes up heaps at night and only sleeps 30mins at nursery!!!!

will she figure this out? do i pick her up, or try to let her figure it out herslef?

pls help!

With DD2 we left her to figure it out for herself. Often found her slumped forward in her cot where she had fallen asleep sitting up, but then moved her into sleeping position whilst she was asleep. She now lies herself down quite happily.
