When does crying at bedtime stop?

We are on about day 5 of controlled crying (yes I am a heartless bitch) with DD who is 16 months. She cries and stands up for 2 min. Then we go in and resettle her and time 3 min. She stops crying at 2.5 min and I don't think she stands up again. She then might or might not wake in the evening and tends to stop within 3 min otherwise we resettle. When does all this crying malarkey stop. I can't remember crying at bedtime, so I guess by 4 at the latest, but please tell me it is before that.

You're not a heartless bitch, so enough of that!

She'll stop when she's ready, but I can't imagine it will take much more. DD went through a phase of screaming blue bloody murder when we left her at bedtime just after Christmas (aged 20m, had been going to sleep on her own without issue since 14mo after CIO) and it took a week or two, now she's back to a night-night and lies down merrily :)
