cant remember the age i did this with my dd2 (she now 7) but it could have been about three, we had tried everything for a good nights sleep alot worked for a short space of time but the most effective was the present box. dd2 and me made a shoe box into a special "sleep fairy box" with wrapping paper on outside, glitter etc, you get the picture, then placed empty box at end of bed, alittle, like the santa thing, if she slept in her own bed for the whole night a small present appearred in the box in the am, it has its downfalls, ie you have to remember to put present in (when i say present it was things like a new pen, rubber, book, ysmall stuff or it costs you a fortune) and what time of night do you put present in etc, but it worked with her (took approx 6 weeks maybe) then she got into the habit of sleeping all night without disturbing the rest of the household, unfortunately next time they ill and you up with them during night it can go back to square one, i have come to conclusion that some kids just wake up and some dont! you lucky if your dc doesnt wake ut if they do it doesnt last forever!!!!
