Hi everyone, Please help. My DS is currently having 2 naps a day in the morning after breakfast and then in afternoon around 2/3 ish if I can get him off however come tea time he is too tired for his tea so end up bathing and bf to sleep in my bed.
My question is how many naps should he be having? How long?
Thank you xx

At this age DS woke at 7am, napped 9.30 til 10/10.15 then slept 12.15ish to 2.30 ish and then 4.30 til 5.00. Bed at 7pm. the first 2 naps in the cot, the afternoon one in his buggy while I walked. Total no more than 4 hours during the day, and not kept awake for more than 2.5-3 hrs otherwise he got so tired he wouldn't settle. At about 12 months we dropped the 4.30 nap, and had naps at 9.30-10 and 1-3.30. At about 18 months dropped morning nap so just sleeping 12.30-3.30. Now 22 months and sleeps 1-3 (and 8pm til 8am)

whoops, pressed enter too soon! Different babies need different amounts of sleep. DS has always been a big sleeper and rubbish eater compared to some. These sleep patterns are based on Gina Ford.
