Will I ever sleep through the night again?

My dd is 9 & has always been a crap sleeper, as was my ds 6 but he has slept through from 8ish until half 6/7 since he was 4/5 but dd still wakes 2 or 3 nights a week about 4am, sometimes she gets in with me, sometimes she gets up & plays/reads. Sometimes she foes back to sleep but some nights she is awake talking etc. It doesn't matter if she has gone to bed at 8 or midnight this is just her time. We have very good bedtime routines & she goes off to sleep fine. I am pregnant now, baby will be here in 6 weeks & it just struck me that if he is like her I may have another 9 years of sleepless nights ahead of me. I'm a single mum so all the waking is on me & right now I'm not sleeping great being at the end of my pregnancy so this is wiping me out even more.

dd1 has a groclock and it's fab - she's not allowed up until the sun arrives on it at 7.10am - it has to be out of reach though as she can alter it... we thought it was broken at first. dd1 is 3.5 - but I love sleep and am very firm on bedtimes etc. dtds are 16weeks so not sleeping well yet but that did unsettle dd1 who kept coming in our bed. I'm tolerating it until dtds go in their own room then it will be everyone in their own beds.

I wouldn't allow playing as it's a bad habit, but if you go down the sleep training route, the age means it will be tougher and be prepared for tears. dd1 was sleeping in her own bed 7.30pm-7am from 2, and really before that but I can't quite remember. The 1st year was horrendous with me getting 3 hours a night on a good night so that's why we got strict on it.
