Would a nightLight help?

my 15mth old dd has in the past week been waking around 10pm crying her eyes out. Previously a 7-7 sleeper, and good at self settling, she seems to waken in a blind panic and very distressed. It always seems to be at the same time too, just as we're going to bed!
It is very dark in her room, would a nightlight help her? Never considered one before as when I go in to check it's with a very dim torch.
Any wise thoughts?

I am going shopping today for a night light. My DS (2) had a ikea star on the wall that would be left on all night and he loved it. But we just moved into a new house. It is so much easier to check on him through the night too. So that's a big YES from me!
Good luck choosing what type!
