Naps and nights!

Ok, I have two sleep issues with 6mo DD. Firstly naps. She only generally takes 2 per day, a total of about 2.5 hours but the problem is that she refuses to sleep anywhere except my arms or her bouncy chair. I work pt so it is usually her chair. She is going to outgrow it soon and I don't know what to do! I have tried putting her in the cot, but she screams and screams and screams.

Secondly, she won't go down til about 1130 at night, it is killing me!

Any advice?!

At that age, DS was having three naps a day. Do you nap at the same time?

Bedtime is pretty late! What time does she wake in the morning? What happens if you try bedtime at half 6/7?

Could she be overtired and hence not settling for bed til late? I think DS was having 3 naps at that age, he moved to 2 around that age though. Will she sleep in her pram?

At this age DD was having 3 naps a day and usually in bed for 7pm. She sounds like she could be overtired. What time do you put her down for first nap?

I think my DD could only last about 1.5-2 hours between naps and if I left it later she would get more and more worked up and difficult to settle which would impact all the other naps.

Agree and you might want to start moving her naps to her cot so she gets used to it rather than wait until she outgrows the bouncy chair
