dd2 is 18 just mths old, bf & has always been a bad sleeper. We have co slept out of desparation for some sleep. Tried along the lines of no cry sleep solution which was kind of working, some progress anyway then she had chickenpox so ended up back in our room again. It's complicated as dd1 (6) & dd2 will be sharing a room & I don't want dd1 losing out on too much sleep. What I did last time I tried was having dd1 in our bed with dh while I was in their room with dd2. When we gave up because of the chickenpox dd1 was back in her room too but I was still in there too. Since last time we have gone hugely backwward dd2 needs to be bf to sleep as just doesn't settle. Last night I tried to go back to how we did it & it was even worse then before, she was just screaming - mainly in temper at being in her cot. In the end I left her & she ended up falling asleep, didn;t have the guts to stick it out all night though so she ended up sleeping on the floor in their room. I tried cc with her months ago & it just didn;t work & she seemed to stop trusting me & got really clingy hence moving to trying the no cry sleep solution.
What I want tonight is to stick it out & I think cc might be a quicker way to go I just don't have the energy or motivation I had before. I just want my own bed back, even when co-sleeping she wakes every 2-3 hrs max so I'm just knackered. Just not sure what to do with night feeds with cc, before i would feed her if it had been a few hrs since she had a feed, even though I know she doesn;t need feeding it seems harsh to stop it or does it complicate things by keeping with the night feeds? Any advice appreciated!
