What time does your 8 year old (yr 3 child) go to bed?

Quick question for friend who thinks hers isn't getting enough sleep - he goes at 8.30

Mine usually goes at around 7.30 but then reads until 8.30 ish.

Normally in bed by 8 but may read a bit.

My dd goes to bed at 7.30 the same as her 2 year old brother!

my nearly 12 yr old is in bed for 9pm! gets in at 8.45pm
Always asleep by 9pm....
Weekends he can stay up later but rarely goes past 10pm

dd1 gets into bed around 7.30 - 7.45pm and reads until 8pm, later at weekends. She is 8 and in P4. Dd2 is in P3 and goes to bed at 7.30pm.

whe I was 8 I was never asleep before 10!

So about 8 is consensus?

DS is 10 and year 6

He is in bed by 7.30pm

and then he reads until he falls asleep

Apart from Mondays when he is at Fencing Club and so gets home about 8.30 and so is in bed by 9pm

ds who is 8 in year 4 goes to bed at 730, reads till 8 and is woken up at 645.

goes to bed about 6.45, reads until 7.15 - 7.30pm.

Up by 7.00 out of the house at 7.45 at school at 8.15.

Dd 2 (8) goes to bed at 8, but doesnt get to sleep until 8.30(story reading chatting with me . Am i boring her to sleep?) Dd1(12) goes at the same time and complains about it , but she does have to get up early in the morning (6.30) for the school bus (at 7,50).

Yes, getting up time is relevant. My two aren't up until about 8ish I think (I'm still asleep then so I don't know for definite )

My 8yr old goes to bed between 7.30-8.00. it depends if he wants to read in bed or not. Sometimes he tries to grab a few extra minutes by calling out etc but he's learning the hard way at the moment-the longer he takes to settle the earlier he goes to bed the next day.Its working well as he hates going to bed b4 his 2yr old brother.

she was 8 in nov and goes bed at 7pm with younger sis 4y, will let her stay up 20mins longer when she starts to moan

gets up at 7.30am and we leave house at 8.30am thats having to get 3 dds ready
