DS not napping

Hello all, just a quickie.

DS will be 18m on Monday. He has been recently put into a new routine (4/5 weeks ago) of lunchtime nap 2 hours ish 12-2 and bed at 7pm, sleeping through till 7.30 ish.

He has been having night terrors (I think) waking up inconsolable around 3 hours after going to bed. This seems to be happening every few days (worse if I don't put him to bed)

Real issue at the moment is that he has been in a junior bed 2 days now, and last night was v disturbed, fell out twice so put a rail thing up. Slept until just before 8 this morning. Put him up for his nap at 11.45 and he still isn't asleep. Not crying, chatting and playing, and when I go up to put him back under the covers he pretends he is sleeping like we are playing a game. He doesn't seem tired either.

What should I do? Feel v mean leaving him by himself but also he needs a nap, surely?

Should I just abandon this nap and try again tomorrow?

Thanks for reading

Sorry don't have any advice just wanted to post. My ds is 16 months and will fight naps and then when he does go to sleep its sometimes only for 30 mins.

I just think if he's not grizzly and tired all day then he's obv getting what he needs.

Although ds doesn't sleep through the night, nowhere near!
