Co-sleepIng with a mobile baby?

DD has suddenly got very mobile in the last week and I've woken up to find she's crawled right off the mattress (fortunately I'm on holiday and sleeping on a mattress on the floor) and is trying to get out the bedroom door.

Is this the end of co-sleeping for me? Practically, there's no room when I get home this week to move my mattress onto the floor anywhere in the flat. I didn't even use a bed guard before but I'm actually most worried about the end of the bed. And I don't trust myself to wake up when she moves because I'm so bloody knackered and jet lag means I know she'll wake up and be really active.

What do all you co-sleepers do? Do you just find a way to make a mattress on the floor work? I stopped co-sleeping with DS before he was mobile so I'm at a loss! And if I can't carry on, how on earth do I move to a cot, please help!

Thanks in advance! (ps sorry if I don't reply to posts quickly, it's the middle of the night here and I'm having a worried insomnia moment!)
