9mo Daytime naps (or not)

For several months, DD would have three naps of 45-60mins a day. She would wake once or twice in the night for feeds.
Over the course of this week, she has been sleeping through for 12 hours (woohoo), sometimes needing to be flipped over if wedged in cot, but not needing milk. This joyous development, however, has coincided with a refusal to sleep in the day. Yesterday she had no naps at all. Today she has had two 15min naps. She's tired, showing sleep signs and getting v cross, but screams and rages if put in cot. I tried letting her sleep on my bed with me, but she just starts playing and rolling and crying.

Is this the age when daytime naps get dropped? How can I enforce them? She's in the jumperoo right now as I hope that'll wear her out... Too tired to go out or play though, so a v boring and frustrating time for both of us.

I would think she definately still needs one if not two naps a day. My dd1 aged 2.5 still has one nap of an hour a day just after lunch

I would take her out in the buggy after giving her lunch at about 1115. Presuming of course that she sleeps in the buggy!

I've got a non daysleeper and this is how I enforced a nap at that age. Gradually move lunch later on till she sleeps about 1ish.

She rarely sleeps in the buggy! She had a 20 minute nap with me this afternoon... In bed now, thankfully.

It must be their age because my 9MO has suddenly forgotten how to sleep!

I had an e-mail from Bounty or some such rubbish last week advising that my 9MO might now drop from 3 naps a day to 2.

Shock

I wish! Can't remember the last time she had 3 naps and I'm struggling to get 2 some days. I'm wondering whether putting her in her cot at the same time each day would help, regardless of whether she sleeps or not.

Actually, just writing it down sounds stupid. :(
