This is a proper whinge so apologies in advance.

DD's sleep is all over the place! I'm generally one for letting things happen at their own pace. DS was horrendously colicky to begin with but by the time he was this age, he was a 7 till 7 sleeper. I didn't do anything to train him and and I know that things will sort with DD eventually but I just want a full night's sleep. I suppose I'm just having a moment this morning.

She's never slept through. She was pretty settled until she was about 16 weeks at which point she started waking every 1.5/2hrs. After months and months this finally stabilised so that she was only waking twice a night. We've had about a fortnight of that and now she's continually waking again and I'm finding it impossible to settle her again. So basically she ends up in bed with us from about 3am and basically feeds until morning. It's proving to be the only way I can get any sleep. the fact that she shares a room with DS is probably influencing this as well.

On top of that, her day time sleep has gone to pot. She was having two good naps a day which was having a real impact on her night time sleep. These days I'm lucky if she'll sleep for longer than 20 mins. And then she's tired and angry and I can't put her down.

Sorry to whinge. I know it'll get better but aaaaaaarggghhhhh!

I don't have any advice, but lots of sympathy - DD nearly 10 mths has never slept through the night either. She generally wakes 2-3 times a night, and on a (rare) good night, once. Big improvement from when she was 5-6 mths and waking 3-5 times a night (sometimes every 2 hours all night). Whereas DS slept through the night (11 hours) from 3 mths all by himself. They are all different. I think her worst nights are when she's either teething or going through a major developmental phase (which seems to be constant with her as she's doing everything early). It's exhausting - esp because I've been back at work full time for the last few months. I'm just hoping that she improves some time soon.
