1yr old DD sleep

1 yr old DD, goes to bed around 7/7:30 with now cow's milk or breast milk still.
will wake at least once a night, want to feed, i try to drag it out but she only likes milk to settle back, which i give my breast milk.

she has 1 or 2 good naps a day usually, around 11 then 2 sometimes...

2 weeks ago she slept through from 7:30-7a. but not now. she gets cross when she's woken up too, so it must be something bothering her? night terror, separation anxiety? hungry???? teeth?

she has 2 teeth so far. has a great appetite too.

she fidgets after 2ish, she is in our room still so maybe this is a factor, she was doing this when she was just on my milk too so cant be the milk?

the reason i am introducing cows milk is because 1.she likes it, 2. i am 12weeks preg with DC2 and dont think i'll be able to tandem feed. obviously if DD1 is in need of some "liquid gold" then she can always have some as it will be there.

what can i do to help DD sleep though?

would love for her to be sleeping through before newborn otherwise have two to wake up for!

dozey, snap. Well, mine's 14 months today, waking through illness/coughing, needing lots of attention to go back to sleep, just stopped bf altogether due to pain (stopped 3 days ago, i'm 17 weeks pg with twins). She was sleeping through until a month or so ago though.

But there was no way she'd have done so without being in her own room. I'd do it. You don;t want her there when DC 2 arrives, as they may wake her and you don't want to be dealing with 2 awake, and you don't want to change anything close to your due date and (well, I personally don't) want them to associate the new baby with missing or lacking anything themselves. Another reason I have stopped bf, though I am Sad about it. I can't tandem feed three, I just can't (and thats if I haven't mainly stopped due to breast pain like the newborn stage feeding now).

so, if you can help me with how to get my DD to drink milk, please give me some tips! tried different beakers at different times of day, no luck...!

might be just the teeth with yours for now, and it'll settle down again- she's done it once- that's a good sign!

DD got very funny with tommee tippee bottles (the ones that i bought the WHOLE set for Grin before she was born)

but a friend of mine suggested the NUK ones, as they are a lt like the nipple and softer.

she took to it straight away, and gently heated cows milk and voila.

i did try aptamil, but i thought well cows milk is more cost effective and doesnt smell!

the bottles i got only hold like 5oz so she will have a whole bottle before bed now.

We're definitely going to try her in her own room. It needs to be done with #2 coming now. I just feel so nervous. even though its like 4 steps away. its just hard emotionally (and the thought of completely stopping BF) its just habit in the day now if she wants milk to offer it to her. but my nips are starting to get sore too....

i dont like the idea of tandem feeding either to be honest. i love feeding her, but sacrifices are to be made, and to be honest i know she loves cows milk so its not really going to take anything from her.... I am still giving her a feed when she wakes in the night (from me) but i just want her to stop this, when she can't possibly be hungry! she eats well!

will definitely sort out her room soon....

congrats on the twins by the way x
