tired baby!

can anyone help me to get a tired baby to sleep?!! i know it sounds stupid, but when shes really tired she just wont go to sleep. her crying keeps her awake. ive tried putting her down in the cot, moses basket. cant take her out for a walk because its snowing!!

Are you breastfeeding? I found lying down to feed very relaxing for mum and baby. Put a blanket round yourself and if you doze off...

If not bf maybe just lying down together?

no, im not bf. i'll have to give that one a try..
u would think after 22 weeks i should know how to get her to sleep!! thanks gillian76

just tried it and it seemed to have worked.... had to stroke her face for a while though why she calmed down

Have you tried swaddling? or music (quiet to soothe or loud to drown out crying!??) - DH used to do the last one and it used to work! Kind of stunned them into silence!!

lol daisesinaline. i'll have to give that one ago next time it happens!!! stereo is unplugged at mo because of the crimbo tree lights. dont wanna put the music channels on because she always ends up watching them... suppose it stops the crying though!!!

well shes wide awake now so only had a bit of sleep... at least i managed to get things done while she had a nap
