Sleeping pattern after a bad cold?

Hi,

My 6MO has had a bad patch of 3 weeks of a bad cold (I think she had 2 back to back with this one particularly bad), and has been coughing a lot at night and very bunged up. Her sleep has been badly disrupted because of this, she's been up several times each night (understandably).

She wasn't the best sleeper before this cold, up several times usually after 3am. But I was just wondering, when all settles down, do they generally revert back to their previous sleeping pattern at this age? Or could I be in for frequent wakings forever now? (worse case scenario!)

Thanks for your experiences.

In my limited experience (13 month old DD), yes, once they are totally over the cold, things tend to settle back down again. Touch wood

My DS (also 6 months) is just getting over a stinker and appears to be reverting back to pre-cold sleeping.

I was particularly nervous as he'd just started sleeping through. So I am touching everything wooden right now!!

Thanks, I'll wait with fingers crossed, touching wood and hoping for the best! Still not quite back to 'normal' yet, although I don't think there is a normal for babies, everything keeps changing, I can't keep up!
