Can you not give a small snack, put your lo for an earlier afternoon nap and then give lunch after the nap instead? We did a lot of tweaking with dd's routine when we were at this stage too.

I think that you need to get used to this, right now my 4 year old throughs a strop at 4pm every afternoon coz he is tired, but won't have a nap (their for babies ), every child will try your patience at some stage of the day.

Tipex i am pleased i am not alone!!!! I too had to limit DD's nap to 15 mins in the morning, just enough to see her through until dinner and get her to the afternoon nap without being grizzly! Today we got past the morning with no nap, I gave her dinner at 11.30 and i turned to pass DD a drink and there she was fast asleep in her highchair slept like a dream until 2.30pm!

btw - that's sooo much stamina for your ds to only sleep 1.5hr from 8.30am! Stamina or strong willed ??!
