Need advice re settling 2 month old

My 2 month old dd naps regularly during the day, and has recently started sleeping from midnight-ish til around 8:30 a.m. This is, of course, fantastic BUT the downside is that she simply won't settle in the evenings. We have a bath, bottle, bed routine that starts around 6:30 (any later and she's too hungry) but as soon as I put her in her cot she cries. She'll sometimes settle for a quick nap but otherwise she's awake all evening. I feel like I never get any time to myself, or proper time with dh. Is this something she'll just grow out of or has anyone got any great tips for getting her to settle in the evenings?

when my ds was that age he went to bed with us but my friend has an 8 wk old. They put her in her cot and put a nightlight musical thing on and shes started going to sleep watching it.She does have a grumble but they dont go in unless she really starts crying. might be worth a try. good luck x

My ds used to get very hungry early evening (still does) as though he was actively tanking himself up for the night ahead. However his tummy could only hold so much in one go. By introducing an extra feed at about 5pm he became more settled and easier to put down for the evening. Initially I was worried that this would impact his intake at the 6.30 feed and result in an earlier night waking - but it didn't prove to be the case. HTH.

you could try waking her up before 8,30 am and starting her day a little earlier.....say 7am? she may be more ready for bed a bit earlier then.... i never used to let DD stay in bed past 7, may sound cruel but i just stuck to the baby whisperer plan and it really helped me.
