pretty self-explanatory really: dd is six months old and has co-slept since shortly after birth. And yes, before anyone says it I know I've made a rod for my own back but what's done is done. She's been in the cot two nights so far and it went better than I feared: both nights she woke up very early and moved about a lot in the night but didn't cry or get upset. The problem is that in the bed she has freedom to turn around and frequently spins almost 90 degrees so she's horizontal, she obviously can't do that in the cot without hitting her head/getting her feet or hands stuck between the bars. I'm curious to know whether babies who have slept in cots from the word go are more at home with having some restrictions on their movement and whether I've "spoiled" her by letting her co-sleep. And whether, other than just being consistent and determined about it, there's anything I can do to make it easier. Anyone have any advice?
