Should I wake her up at the same time each day?

Trying to get some sort of routine before I go back to work. Yesterday it went like clockwork during the day (not so much at night but that is another story). She started her day at eight. Today she is still sleeping and I am wondering if I should be getting her up at the same time each day or should I just let her sleep. Will it help her sleep at night if I get her up at the same time each day? Or better to let her rest?

I tend to get my 10 month old DD up every morning by 730ish. About 50% of the time she is awake herself, the other times she tends to be in a very light sleep so pretty much wakes as I walk towards her room. It works for us as she then has a consistent time that she goes down for at night (by 730pm). If you are trying to get a routine established (if that is what you want), then I would say yes, wake her around the same time each day. It can take a week to get it established

Thanks. She woke up herself about twenty mins later. I will try and get her up around the same time each day and see how I go.

I've always woken our DD up by 7.30am latest in order that she sleeps at 7-ish. Unless ill, of course. Works for our family's routine. DD now 3 .
