Sorry, this may be long...
DD, 14month, is BF (fed to sleep) and co-sleeps, always has done.
She has a 2-3 hr nap in the afternoons (also co-sleeping as that is the only time I get a break and she sleeps for longer if I am there). It can take a while to get her to go sleep, she really doesn't want and gets all hyperactive and "silly (and screamy)). She'll probably suck for a bit once or twice during this period.
We go to bed between about 8-9 in the evening. Same issues with getting her to go down. At the moment she stirs for more milk/comfort at about 1/2 hr in and then sleeps for a few hours. She'll then stir and wiggle and suck on and off until about 6am when she'll sleep without my boob in her mouth again until about 8
This sleep deprivation is starting to get to me, and I am beginning to think about trying to night wean her. I don't particularly want to per se, it's just that sleep deprivation is making me a very grumpy mummy, and I really don't want to snap.
I'm perfectly happy to be told its just a phase and to keep doing what I am doing (as long as this phase will not last until she is 5!)
Also recommendations for how I can "manage the situation". I am not willing/able to leave her to cry on her own, and will struggle if she gets really upset at all.
Other info that may be relevant:
Obviously she is my PFB
She has eight teeth so far, chews her hand a lot, but I cant feel any more coming through
She has been walking for a few weeks now, but seems to have regressed confidence wise - needs lots of hand holding where previously she didn't
Truly epic post, sorry...
