started cc about 10 days ago and in some respects it's working well. ds (6 months) now settles himself at bedtime and for daytime naps and no longer wakes in the middle of the night.

BUT he's waking earlier and earlier each day - this morning it was 5:15 - and won't go back to sleep even with an hour of cc.

he usually has 3 naps, albeit one is more of a nighttime catch-up (e.g. today 7:50-8:30). they are usually 2-2.5 hours in total. he goes to bed at 7pm.

any ideas anyone (please!!!)?

btw we do the in-for-5-mins-out-for-2 mthod of cc - would it be better to just leave him to it...?

Is he your son hungry? teething?

My son Ryan, who is 8 months.

He was waking up at 11pm, 2am and at 4am. So i decide to do the CC 2 nights days ago.

Things are improving a lot. I am having a decent night sleep at last.

He's only waking up at night once now, but i don't goes to him. After 5-10 mins or so of crying, he fall back to sleep my himself.(before i use to give him milk or his dummy)

He did wake up 5.50am this morning, he was hungry, so i fed him. Fell sleep till 8.30am. If he does still waking up at 5.30am, i am doing the CC.

Hope things will work out for you!

hi natalie - glad to hear cc is helping. you must have been exhausted!

no sign of teeth (i didn't have any til after my 1st bday and i suspect he may be the same) and no - i'm sure he's not hungry, as i didn't feed him til half an hour after we got him up - he was happy just to be up with us.
