13 month old DD is ordinarily close to both me and DH.
We have more or less exactly the same bedtime routine with DD (though I put her to bed more often I guess)
However, I have just left her howling hysterically when DH came to take over (she has just discovered how to pull herself from lying to standing and had happily resisted going to sleep for about 30 minutes). After 5 minutes of this, wuss here couldn't take it any more and went up to see what I could do to help - cue a slowdown in hysterics from DD and a sharp telling-off by DH saying 'now you've done this, it'll have to be you putting her to bed every night. Is that what you want?'
Sigh.
Is any of this normal? I know DH is right but the crying-to-the-point-of-choking seems a little, you know, harsh..
(wimp who has clearly created a total brat emoticon)
