Swaddling

DD2 loves her swaddle. The only trouble is, I do it using a muslin square & NO-ONE else can do the bloddy thing. DH tried so many times with DD1, he know's the theory (he recently explained to SIL how to do it!) but just hasn't got the knack of making it stay in place & so is paranoid about it coming undone.

So, if you swaddle, what do you use? We tried a miracle blanket type thing with DD1 but didn't get on with it (can't remember exactly why - something to do with the bit you put their feet in... Must find it & try it with with DD2). I bought a woombie last week, which looks fabulously easy, but it's too stretchy, I don't think DD2 likes being able to move! Hmm

And if you don't swaddle - how on earth do you get them to sleep without hitting themselves in the face?!

I used a cotton moses blanket sheet for all 3 of mine. They all liked being snuggled quite tightly and this did the job.

I have a couple similar to this

eglu does that one wrap them tight? if so it could be perfect as I think DH would be able do it!

It does wrap them tight, I have another make that is similar. They also come in fleece for when it's colder.

It certainly seemed to keep my wriggly DS2 nice and tightly wrapped.

I used a blanket by swaddledesigns and that worked for me.

p.s. don't swaddle anymore but she never hits herself in the face.
