5mo nap question

BatFlattery · 05/06/2011 20:41

My 5 month old DS tends to catnap during the day for no more than 30-40 mins at a time, every 1.5 to 2 hours, and I usually put him in his bouncy chair when he sleeps during the day (unless we are out, in which case he is happy to sleep pretty much anywhere).

My question is, should I be putting him down in his cot for his day time naps when we are at home? Would this help him sleep for longer during the day and encourage him to get into a napping routine? Does it matter?

i would put him in his cot when at home so he can straighten out a bit more than in a bouncy chair and get used to napping in his cot, soon he will nap less often but for longer.
my dd is 6 months and has half hour in the morning, half hour after lunch and half hour after dinner, in cot or buggy when out. Smile
