What age did your DC stop naps?

My 23 month old has started being horrendous at bedtime and waking early. He often has a long sleep in the day, so I'm wondering if I should wake him from his nap after an hour or so. Also wondering when naps tend to stop. (Waking him from nap seems alien to my "never wake a baby" theory, as it is nice to get some jobs done/ have some peace Grin

I also subscribed to never wake a baby!

From 18mo my DD started napping sporadically, went to every other day, then stopped at 22months. Imagine my joy when the last day she had a nap was the first day I was alone with her and the newborn after DH went back from paternity leave!

DD was rubbish at going to bed if she napped too. Was easier in the end to cut it out altogether and DD seemed to sleep longer at night to make up for it. I think no naps is very liberating! Enjoy it!

Thanks that's helpful, could be approaching no nap time then.

Any more views on age to stop naps, to build a theory (roll up, roll up ...) Smile

Dd is finally stopping at 3yrs. Had a few times when she fought naps for a week or so but I kept offering and she would go back to napping. We still have a rest after lunch so I get a break.

Mine are 6 and 3 and both still nap. But I'm 30 and still love an afternoon nap! Grin
