What to wear ....???

My baby of six months sleeps in a baby sleeping bag (2.5 tog) although she has never slept through anyway, she now seems to be waking more frequently and when I pick her up I thinks she may be too cool.

Just what should she be wearing aswell as the sleeping bag? Currently in an all-in-one vest and a cotton sleepsuit. Do sleeping bags come in higher tog rating?

Room is quite warm when she goes to bed but when heating goes off can feel cooler later.

Please help - don't know what to do

There is a chart showing what should be worn with which tog ratings in which room temperatures...

Do you go to her before you go to bed? If you do, tuck your fingers down inside her clothes to feel her chest or between shoulders. You will be able to feel whether or not she is cold. If she is sweaty then she's too hot! If she feels cool to you, then you could pop a cardigan on over the sleeping bag, or a light blanket.

2.5tog is the warmest sleeping bag that you will find I think, although you can get bags that layer to be even warmer. We have one, but have never used both layers together, and we are real open-window freaks (only switched the central heating on last week! ). What you describe sounds about right.

Have you started weaning yet? She could be hungry and need a bit more to eat in the second half of the day or more milk at bedtime.
