in the past 4 yrs im always dreaming aboout my old house where i was grown up (throughtout my childhood).. and im walking up my street and i saw my Dad in the house, so i went in (without knocking) and my Dad looked really happy and he said "ive got it going, ive got it going!" meaning a new job with gud money.

as ive havent heard from my Dad since i became pg and hes an alcoholic and is always sad cos he still loves my mum (been divorced for 10 yrs now after 25 yrs marriage)

BUT

why am i always dreaming about my old house?

were you happy there
if so you may be wanting to regain some of that happiness

biglips · 13/11/2005 17:26

yeah, i was happy there as i had a good childhood life, and when the house was sold i felt so sad

I am also always dreaming about my old house. It has different rooms sometimes and the new people who bought it are living in it but I still seem to have some claim over it and still find bits of my stuff there.

I also dream about my other old house in London. The dreams are so vivid.

My guess is that certain emotional issues have arisen in your old house which haven't been resolved.

Do you ever enjoy dreaming about your old house? Or would you rather not?

maybe you are reflecting on happy old times but they are coming through in your dreams

spidermama · 13/11/2005 17:36

The closest state we can get to dreaming is meditation.

If I were you I would meditate (nice quiet room, get comfy, do some deep breathing, relax begining with feet and working up to head). Think of the mind as a still lake. Thoughts will come. That's ok, just look at them then let go and let them drift off.

When you feel in a meditative dream-like state go to your old road ... walk to your old house (smells, colours etc take your time) ... go to a room ... sit down and wait for you dad. Listen to what he has to say. Talk to him.
Then see where it takes you.
Say 'Goodbye' to him and leave the house (or you may leave together.

Come back to a place you feel is safe and you enjoy being. Come around in your own time.

Reflect on what the meditation has brought you.

This sort of meditation has brought up some surprising results for me. I hope it can for you too.

Good luck. x
