How Bad an Idea is This...

I have two DS(DS1 is 2.4 and DS2 is 11months) At present they are both sharing a room. Over the last few weeks they've both been ill(at seperate times) and have been super ssensitive to any noise the other is making...they end up screaming the place down!!! I'm surviving on virtually no sleep(the doctor prescribed sleeping tablets but obviously and can only take them when DP is off) The boys are constantly wakin each other through the night and it is takin an age to settle them both back to sleep. last night it was so bad i ended up with DS1 in my bed...which is a habit i don't want to start! Even during the day they cry when the other makes a noise and i'm feeling rotten and so so tired

I was thinking how bad an idea would it be to move DS2's cot in to my room for a short period of time til everythin settles down and we all get some good nights sleep????

sorry this is so long, but i'd really appreciate any advice, ideas.

I would do it, definitely.

My mum thinks i should leave them in the room and they'll need to get used to one another...but this has been going on for weeks and its not getting any better.

easy for your mum to say .. she's getting her sleep

I'd do it personally if it means you end up sleeping

(I don't have a problem with kids in my bed though .. it comes and goes in phases)

i'm so relieved i thought everyone would say what my mum had said. thats sorted then its getting moved through today.

If ds2 is in a cot in your room rather than your bed, it shouldn't disrupt things too much, when he goes back with ds1.

Confession here - ds2 (2.4) is still in a cot in our room as we cannot face the hoo ha there would be getting him and ds1 (4) sharing !

We've decided to go ahead with a loft conversion now, so I'm keeping ds2 in the cot until he can have his own room .
