Co-Sleeping Advice

I am after some advice on going from part co-sleeping at night to getting DS to stay in his cot all night.

My DS is 10 ½ months old and since birth he has spent half the night in his cot and half the night in bed with me. He tends to sleep from 7/8pm till about 1/2am quite happily in his cot in his own room. We he wakes up I give him a cuddle and he goes to sleep again in my arms, but when I try to put him back in his cot, he cries and wriggles around so he is awake again. I would leave him to cry for a while, but when I go into him, he is either standing in his cot or sitting up.

It is not a major issue, but I would like to try and break the habit. Any advice will be welcome.

Thanks
