What's changed??

Help! My DS is 4.5 months and since about 12 weeks has been sleeping 7 until 7 (quite often until closer to 8) and having a 2 hour nap in the morning and 2 hours over lunchtime. This all seems to have changed this week and I'm not sure why!

He is waking at 5.30am, not sleeping in his nap times at all (he lies in his cot chatting and more often that not moaning to himself) and is very grizzly during the day which is unlike him. I think this could be where he is tried from not sleeping properly during naps??

Feeding has also been a nightmare for the past couple of weeks as he gets so upset when I try to give him his bottle, pushes it out of his mouth with his tongue or his fists and now closes his mouth to stop me putting it back in. He is also much more sicky than he has ever been.

Could it be teeth? Any other suggestions or advice would be much appreciated!

My first thought was "growth spurt" as your DS is about the right age for the classic 4 month spurt, but if he's refusing the bottle perhaps not. (Have you tried a faster flowing teat on the bottle - it's possible he's frustrated with a teat that isn't delivering the goods quick enough?). Maybe try teething gel/nurofen syrup to rule out teething. Alternatively he could have a virus which is making him feel under the weather, in which case Calpol is your friend Smile
