My 3 month old naps for anywhere between 2.5 and 5hrs a day (bed at 8pm and breakfast bottle at 7am) Just wondering is this sounds about right?
Thank you Smile

Yes that sounds right. 3 naps a day at least at this age. At around 5 mths it'll change to 2 long naps a day.

Yeah my DD had 3-4 naps a day at that age (around 4-5 hrs in total) then at 4 months this has dropped to 2-3 naps (3-4 hrs in total). I think she seems nearly ready to drop her last nap so around 5 months should drop to 2 naps. She sleeps 7 til 7 at night (on a good.night). Hope this helps.

My 3mo has 3-5 naps a day, probably about 5 hrs in total. She sleeps 7-7(ish) at night.

DD1 didn't go from 3 naps to 2 until she was 8-9 months.

Thanks. I've 'read' that the longest nap should be over lunch. As I am out and about a lot this is probably his shortest nap. Does this matter?
Days roughly follow:

7am - breakfast bottle
8.15 - 9.45am - nap
10am - bottle
maybe 1 hour nap somewhere here
1.30pm - bottle
2.30-4pm ish - nap
4.30pm bottle
6-7pm - nap
7.30 bedtime and bottle

There is activity time throughout the above.
I am thinking of bringing bedtime forward to approx 6.30pm and skipping the 6pm nap as it is getting more difficult to get him down at 7.30 yet he is really tired by about 6-6.30ish.

What does everybody else do? Advice greatly appreciated.

My 3&1/2 mo seems to like lie-ins - he sleeps overnight from 9-10pm until 9-10am (but still breastfeeding every 3 hours overnight). I'm trying to bring his bedtime forward to more reasonable hours, but its difficult to put him to bed when he's not tired - any tips?!

Napping during the day varies - usually 2 naps of 2 hours. I don't think he's getting enough sleep overall, compared to these posts, but he seems happy enough...
