I have a 14 week old baby, who has nver been a good sleeper, nights are the worse, you goes down at 7.00-pm, wakes at 10.30, 12.00, 2.30, 4.00 and finally at 6.00 am.

She is 8.8oz and not great at feeding, generally 3oz every 3 hours..

Can anyone help??

Are you breastfeeding or bottle.... my DS was the same but I had a fantastic health visitor and she suggest all sorts of things... and one of teh suggestions worked... but it all depens if it is bottle or breast feeding?

if you are bottle feeding this sounds like my dd when she was a few weeks, I tired lots of diffwerent bottles and found the dr brown ones ensured she fed quicker, more milk each time and was settled easier, don't know if this may help you get a bit more milk down her but 8 and a half pounds is little, maybe she needs small and often, feel for you though, keep smiling.

I also find that a sleeping bag keeps my dd (10wks) asleep for longer at night, I think they are okay from 7lbs, quite expensive though so I bought both mine cheap off ebay.

Sounds like she needs to eat more in the day, so she has enough calories to get through the night. Bigger bottles and more naps in the days should help night sleeping. She really should be doing up to 6oz every four hours in the day I think? when the day intake is upped you might then need to pat her back to sleep through the night as she might be waking out of habit?

Hope that helps,
Justine and Arthur (7 weeks)

I was using dr browns bottles up until one week ago, They were great for keeping wind to a minium, the treats were two large, I tried various other teats, but the bottles leaked, she is now on tommy tippee bottles, the wind is a problem but I feel she is feeding better than since I puther on bottles 7 weeks ago, my hv does she her intake of milk a problem, but I think from your advice this is the problem, vicious circle how do I get more milk down her without making her sick(which is what usally happens)???
