Big Boy Bed Book

Can anyone recomend a book which I can buy for my 2.4 year old ds as I have recently put his bed in his room and he has slept in it twice but keeps getting really upset and wants to go back in his cot. It's not a rush thing but I do have a baby on the way so will need the cot - I thought a book would be a good idea to read to him about a baby boy going into a big boy's bed - any suggestions? Thanks in advance..

No book suggestions apart from trying the parent's section in the library, sorry. If it helps, I put all DD's and DS's familiar stuff (toys, bedding etc)into the big bed and bought a bedguard to make it feel enclosed like the cot and even had the bed in the same position as the cot so as to make the transition easier. I also took the cot down and went for it big style so that they didn't have an alternative......harsh mummy .
Good luck with him, remember in a few years time you won't beable to get him out of it!

Thanks poppyseed! Don't have the heart to take his cot down - maybe leave it a few weeks then go for the harsh mummy bit but harsh mummy always ends up with a sore head!!

Try to cajole him into it then perhaps with teddy sleeping in it/new bedside light or duvet cover/glow in the dark stars that you can only see above the bed?
ideas I'm sure that you've thought of..........!

Yes - think I may get him a new teddy just to take to the big boy bed!! God - it's pathetic really when you read some of the real problems some people on this site have!! Anyway off to bed now myself - thanks for taking the time to reply!!
