Dreams

Hi,

I'm a 25 father of a beautiful 3 year old girl with a problem I get whilst sleeping!
I am a member of various automotive forums but feel that I wouldn't get the best replies if I posted about this on those type of forums being a man!

When I'm sleeping I keep getting dreams about my daughter. She is normally in some sort of danger and I keep crying in the dream and then sometimes wake up crying. Feels very strange. I dreamt last night that I was in the hospital with her and could not find her. I searched everywhere and eventually found her playing with some other children. This woke me up in a sweat and I had to go into her room just to check on her and give her a kiss.

I think I dreamt about being in the hospital because we had a visit to the hospital in the morning because she has a small hole in her heart.

I didn't really dream much before the birth of my daughter. So has anyone else experienced anything like this and did it pass. Or am I stuck with these dreams for a long time. Personally I prefer the dreams of being on hot beaches or riding around on my motorbike!

Thanks in advance.

You are suffering from anxiety for obvious reasons. Your brain is just trying to find a coping strategy whilst you sleep. They might stop once you realise this. Otherwise you just need to wait for a calmer time and they will pass. I hope your little one is well soon and that you get more restful sleep
