Does teething make toddlers more tired?

DS (17mo) was doing well at staying awake 'til after lunch before having a nap at 12.30, but recently he's been getting beside himself with tiredness by about 11.15am. Any thoughts? Maybe he's awake in the night and I'm not noticing? (he doesn't tend to cry out, just nibbles away to himself and then goes back to sleep)

I think he's teething, as he has his fingers in his mouth a lot, beaucoup de dribble etc. He's got no molars yet at all Sad, poor wee boy.

Hi there, I tended to find that when my DD was having a growth spurt she would be much more tired than usual. This may link in with the whole teething malarky too?!

Here's hoping those pesky molars come through soon and all can go back to normal Smile

Thanks for the reply - I've been so obsessed with his (lack of) teeth that I didn't think of anything else; could well be a bit of grow spurtage - good call!
