10 month old waking every night crying

I have a 10 month old baby who has been a good/ok sleeper for most of his little life. From about 7 months he would sleep through from 7 til 6.30am. For the past 2 weeks he has woken up every night at around midnight/1am crying and quite distressed. it's like clockwork! I will check him each time in case he has a temperature or is uncomfortable...he'll be awake for about an hour each time and it's very hard to comfort him. I try not to give him a bottle because we successfully weaned him off nightfeeds months ago.

In the morning he is absolutely fine again. should we give him a bottle at night again? Has anyone else experienced this?

Perhaps too warm? The weather is getting much milder now.

Oops. Just realised you said you checked temp! Have you tried offering water? Is he eating enough in the day? He may well be hungry?

teething? don't re-start the bottle IMO. Or may be a developmental thing - has he just mastered something new, or is her about to?
