Swaddling during the day

Quick question...

...is there any reason why I shouldn't swaddle DD (5 weeks) for her daytime naps if she won't go down any other way?

Until a few days ago she would just fall asleep in her pram, chair or on me, but this has abruptly stopped being the case as she looks like she's dropping off and suddely something distracts her- usually her own hands! She is swaddled at night, so I gave it a go today and she is in her pram (with black out shade) and has slept for a couple of hours Smile

Apologies if this seems a sillly Q! Just thought I'd check.

Both of mine were swaddled for all sleep up to about 12 weeks, so night time and nap times. Can't think of any reason why you shouldn't.

One of mine didn't settle well once we stopped swaddling so had to transition slowly but wasn't a problem with the other.

I used to be so grateful for swaddling, I wouldn't have had any sleep in those early months without!
